Elaine Grindstaff Ingle, 85, of Asheville, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at Aston Park HealthCare.
Born February 12, 1940 in Bryson City, NC, Mrs. Ingle was a daughter of the late William Frank Grindstaff and Ruby Cline Grindstaff. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Billy James Ingle.
Mrs. Ingle graduated from the Memorial Mission Hospital School of Nursing, and worked as a Registered Nurse.
She is survived by her brothers, Jerry Grindstaff (Lida), Everett Grindstaff (Marisa) and Terry Grindstaff (Jodi); step-children, Billy Ingle (Wanda), Terrie Fox and Lynn Shaw (Richard); and 1 niece, 7 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Aaron Baptist Church in the coming days.

I had the pleasure of working side by side with Elaine in the emergency room at Memorial Mission Hospital in the late 60’s. She was a wonderful nurse & friend. I am so sorry for your loss.
