Kevin Charles Lawrence Sr., 69, of Hendersonville, NC died Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.
Born in Biloxi, MS, he was the husband of Audrey (Austin) Lawrence of Hendersonville, and the son of the late Edward and Bertha (Fountain) Lawrence. He was also preceded in death by brothers Edward and Miguel, sister, Ann DiSefano and nephew, Greg Lawrence.
Kevin was an avid music lover – performing with his family band, The Right Hooks. He also participated in athletics his entire life, from playing to coaching. Kevin was actively involved in the services of his local parish, St. Barnabas Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife of 43 years, he is survived by his daughter, Crystal and son, Kevin Jr., his brother, Bobby and spouse, Alice, brother, Jerry Wayne, sister-in-law, Patsy, as well as several nieces, nephews, and their children.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Arden with Father Adrian Porras officiating and music provided by Tiffany Gallozzi and John Phychas. Immediately preceding the service will be a praying of the rosary. Friends and family are invited to share a meal with the family provided by the church after the service.
A celebration of life at a location to be determined and a graveside service at the Fountain Cemetery in D’Iberville, MS will be announced at a later date. Additional information can be found on Kevin’s social media.
