Carolyn Coston Leap passed on peacefully to heaven on June 7, 2025 at her home in Knoxville, TN.
Carolyn was born on June 18, 1951 to Harold and Vivian Coston. She married her husband Terry in 1970. Throughout their marriage, she and Terry resided in university towns including Chapel Hill, NC, Iowa City, IA, Baton Rouge, LA, Clemson, SC and Knoxville, TN.
Carolyn worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and volunteered for various organizations including her children’s schools. She spent most of her time as a devoted wife and mother.
Carolyn was very kind, considerate and generous. She had unlimited love for her family and was a loyal friend.
Surviving Carolyn are her husband of 55 years, Dr. Terry Lee Leap, retired University of Tennessee professor, daughter Catherine Ann Leap and grandson Benjamin Leap, both of Seattle, WA, son Christopher Coston Leap of Chicago, IL and sisters Deborah Coston Lewis and Pamela Coston Klein of Hendersonville, NC.
Carolyn will be missed by all who knew and loved her. We cherish our memories of her and we know that we will see her again.
Carolyn was laid to rest in Hendersonville, NC where her great grandparents founded the Fruitland United Methodist Church in the late 1800s.
