Guestbook

  1. I just got to know Doris for a few years but I just loved her. She and my mom became very good friends and enjoyed each other. We really are sorry for your loss.

  2. Decades ago, when I was l little girl, I used to come over to Doris Lee’s house with my dad, Max Lance. My dad was Bernice Lee’s cousin, but they considered each other as good friends, even brothers. Bernice and my dad were big horse lovers, and my dad would go out to the barn with him to shoot the breeze telling horse stories. I stayed inside with my mom and visited with Doris. I admired Doris so much—a soft, gentle spirit, with a beautiful smile and lady-like presence. I wanted to be like her when I grew up. The last time I saw her was at my dad’s funeral when Bernice played the harpsicord, sending sweet musical messages up to my dad, mingling with the angels. Doris gave me a warm hug that day and told me to stay in touch. I wish I had. She was one special lady. Danny Lee, sending you warm wishes during this difficult time.
