John W. Robinson, 83 died Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Charles George VA Hospital, Asheville, NC, from complications of cancer and pneumonia.

A native of Asheville, NC, he was the son of the late Mattie Taylor Robinson and John W. Robinson, Sr. John grew up in the Malvern Hills community and was a 1960 graduate of Lee Edwards High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force. After completing his service, he entered and graduated from A.B. Tech with an Associate Degree. John retired from the IT department at Mission Hospital in 2012.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Robinson; daughter, Beth Robinson; sister, Linda Randall, nieces, Nancy Oxendine (Perry) and Sharon Randall, all of Charleston, SC; a special aunt, Katherine Turbyfill of Candler, NC and a special uncle, Harold Taylor of Cincinnati. Ohio; a special friend and cousin, Ray Burnette of Asheville, NC; also, dear friends: Fred Ballard and Joann Ballard, Charles and Thea Harlow, Marion and Martha Cline, Duane and Pat Lail, Patrick Jackson and many cousins.

Services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Malvern Hills Presbyterian Church. Visitation and reception will be in the fellowship hall of the church immediately after the service. Burial will be on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC at 10:00 am with Rev. Dr. Larry Melton conducting both services.

Everyone in the Chapter was so happy we were able to get to know him this past year and he was feeling connected to us and the guys. Thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Lord watch between you and him, while you are absent from the other.
