Gregory Blaine Tossey

Gregory Blaine Tossey, 70, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois, to the late Carrol and Ellen Tossey. Greg is survived by his brothers Jeffrey, Thomas, and Bruce Tossey.

Greg received a Master’s Degree in Forestry Management and had a long career in Alabama in commercial forestry management. After his retirement to North Carolina, he continued to maintain community hiking trails as a volunteer. He also served his community by helping others prepare and file tax returns. Greg loved dogs, and adopted multiple strays and shelter dogs.

It was Greg’s wish to be cremated, and have his ashes scattered at Liberty Cemetery in Salem, Wisconsin, near where he grew up. A Memorial Service for Greg will be scheduled at a later date.

Groce Funeral Home at Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
