Kirk Anthony Frizzell passed away suddenly on October 1, 2025, at Chunn’s Cove Assisted Living in Asheville, NC. He was born on July 22, 1970, at CJ Harris Hospital in Sylva, NC, to Bobby Ray Frizzell and Vivian Louise Hawkins Gaddy (Frizzell).

Kirk walked through life with a heart wide open and a spirit uniquely his own. Known as a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin, and steadfast friend, he brought light and laughter to those fortunate enough to share in his journey.

He spent many years working at Charlie’s Tire and Blue Ridge Automotive in Brevard, NC places where his hands-built trust as much as they turned wrenches. When not on the job, Kirk could often be found at Pisgah Lanes as an avid league bowler or enjoying time with friends at Dugan’s Pub. These places weren’t just pastimes they were the heartbeat of his community.

Kirk was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Fred and Lina Frizzell; maternal grandparents Wood and Laverne Hawkins; two fathers Bobby Ray Frizzell, who gave him life, and Edward Vernon Gaddy, who taught him about life; his brother Brent Nicole Frizzell; and nephew Donavon Frizzell.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother Vivian Louise Gaddy of Asheville, NC; sister Rebecca Cowper Keller (William) of Madisonville, TN; great-nieces and nephews Gareigh Thomas Lively III, Ricky Junior Whitmire II, Timmy Whitmire, Delta Whitmire, Riley Whitmire, and Madison Whitmire; nieces and nephews Sheenah Whitmire, Sam Davis (Nate), Bretteny Frizzell, Lynch Whitmire, Ashton Whitmire, Dennis Whitmire (Kristen), Devon Frizzell, Dylan Frizzell, and Brent Frizzell Jr.; special friend Tammy Gibson of Waynesville, NC; and best friend’s Chris Dietz & John Papp of Asheville, NC.

May Kirk’s memory echo in the laughter of shared stories and linger gently in the hearts of all who knew him.
