Asheville Butterfly TrailMelissa Susanne (Hutchison) Mobley, 51, of Arden, died Sunday, November 2, 2025 in her residence.
Born in Henderson County, she was the wife of the late Robert Russel Mobley, who died in 2017. They were married eight years. She was the daughter of Alvin Hutchison of Arden, and the late Susan Anna (Lemmons) Hutchison, who died in September, 2025.
Melissa was a bus driver for twelve years with Buncombe County schools, and also worked for a number of years in the dining room at Givens Estates.
In addition to her father, she is survived by a daughter, Kylie Guess, and a son, Ty Mobley.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

Everyone loved Melissa! She was the best person, looked out for all the kids when she drove the bus and was so good with all the kids! Praying for the family at this hard time.
