Ella Myrtle Conner

Ella Myrtle Dotson Conner, 88, of 9 Cedar Knoll Road, Asheville, died Monday, October 10, 2005. at Memorial Mission Hospital. Mrs. Conner was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late James Nelson and Dula Leila Hudgins Dotson. She preceded in death by her husband George Conner, a daughter Mary Lee Banks, and two sons, Coy and Donald Conner. Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Babb and her husband Larry of Asheville; a son, Wayne Conner and his wife Virginia of Candler; a sister Lillie Halford of Black Mountain ; a brother, Rev. Paul Dotson of Black Mountain; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Shelton officiating. Burial will be at Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery, Black Mountain. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
