Lillie Mae Nash King, 81, of 22 Bumble Bee Garden, Asheville, died Saturday, December 17, 2005, at Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Mitchell Bowden and Cordelia Miller Nash and was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ervin King, who died in 1993. She was retired from Mills Manufacturing and attended New Life Baptist Church in Avery’s Creek.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by a daughter, Billie King Clark and husband Gerald of Asheville; three sons, Rev. David King and wife Shirley, Roger King and wife Alice and Wayne King and wife Donna, all of Asheville; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Marvin Mathis and Charles Worley officiating. Burial will follow at Dix Creek Chapel UMC Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm Monday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of her son, Rev. David King, 24 Bumble Bee Garden, Asheville.
