To all the family;First I would like to let you know my thoughts and prayers are with you. My heart is so heavy to know Teresa has passed away. I have such wonderful memories of all of us at West Buncombe Elementary and at Erwin. I thank God for the opportunity to call Teresa friend, she will always have a special place in my heart and memories.I pray you all will find comfort and peace in our creator and savior Lord Jesus Christ. With love and all sincerity!
Edna and family,
We were all very sorry to hear about Teresa. Just know we will be praying for you during this time.
To all Teresa’s family, relatives, friends: I graduated with Teresa from C.A. Erwin, 1982 and fondly recall many days chatting, laughing and sharing with her. She always brought joy to me and to those around her. I recall the last time I saw her when I was in town just a couple of years ago. She was working out at the mall, and I bumped into her and of course took the opportunity to catch up. Life brings us many challenges and changes. But, we all must persevere and celebrate the good in people’s lives and the positive things they shed on those around them. I am always somewhat shocked to learn of the loss of one of our classmates, but I was really taken back by reading about Teresa. I trust she is in a better place now and know there is nothing I can really say to comfort those closest to her. I will miss her.
Sincerely,
Bruce Allen
I am still in shock from finding out just yesterday (Jan 19) about the death of one of my dearest friends. We had so many great times in school. The sleep overs at Teresa were great and all the times we spent together growing up were memories I will cherish forever. Holly, I know how much your mom loved you, because from finding out she was pregnant to the last time I saw her a year ago, she will still talking about her beautiful, perfect angel, Holly, whom she loved so much. I am deeply sadden for all the family for they too were once a very large part of my own family. I spent alot of time with all of you – mom Edna, Paul, Steve I love you all and will pray for God to give you his loving comfort and strength to continue in the days ahead, please call me if you need anything from me. 230-9046 cell. Love and prayers, Angela
I am a Culbertson and heard what happened with Teresa, from my grandma-Doris-right after it happened but didn’t have a computer at the time to write my online condolences. I am very sorry about this Holly & Family. I hope over time things get better to deal with and that God will bring everyone through this. Sometimes our pain on earth gets to be so unbearable we think we are forever trapped in the pain, believe me I understand this, and in times like those all that really can bring you through is the inner strength that God gave us and the power of God Himself. Take care, please. Feel free to email me anytime if you need someone to talk to.
Edna and the entire Rector Family,
Words can not express how I am grieving also with you. I have been so shocked at the loss of Teresa that I can’t even begin to have words to say to you. I do know that she is no longer suffering and she is with her Heavenly Father and also with her earthly father now. She will be missed and can’t imagine what you folks are going through. Please accept our condolences and just remember, Edna, Paul, and Steve that I am always here if you need to just talk or just need someone to sit with you. Just remember that Jim and I are praying for you and are thinking of you always. Please call us if you need anything at 253-4238 anytime day or night. May God comfort you and strengthen you at this time of loss.
Love you always,
Claudette & Jim

Holly and family, I graduated with your Mom too from Erwin, as we go through life with our own families now we may lose touch, but as one on the reunion team for our 20th I spoke to your Mom and she was still laughing and talking about the ‘remember whens’. Even with me being in the medical field there are no words I could ever say to take your pain away. Please know that she hurts no more and as a Mom myself I can proudly say to you as I would my own she loves you still. May God be with you and your family now and forever; just thank Him for all your memories with your Mom/daughter/sister.
We were so sorry to hear of Teresa’s untimely death. Our heart goes out to your entire family and we will continue to pray for God’s comfort during this sad time. We love you guys and would appreciate an opportunity to do anything for you. May God Bless.

after growing up with teresa it is so hard to believe this news. my thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. i keep thinking and laughing about all the fun times we had as young girls, then young ladies, growing up at macedonia baptist church. we had some great times. how fortunate to have families that saw the importance of rearing a child in church. i’m sure teresa was as thankful for that as i am.
i will be praying for you and your family.
My deepest sympathies to ALL of the family. I was shocked to hear of Teresa’s passing. May your memories and God comfort you at this time.
Edna, Reeves, Steve, Paul & Holly, As I was setting with Thelma today, trying to think of words to comfort her, the Lord reminded me of some scriptures, one of which is to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. If we belong to our Lord, He gives us this promise. I told Thelma that I know Teresa is with Jesus today, the only comforter that gives real peace. I think Teresa is having a glorious time in heaven with our Lord, her Dad Bill, and Grandfather Paul. These words seemed to give Thelma comfort this afternoon. I hope maybe they can comfort you also. I love you all and hope to see you soon. Terry

The family of the late Eula Suttles were saddened to hear of your loss. Remember Earth’s loss is Heavens Gain. God bless you, and may He comfort your hearts. Yvonne Jeffcoat, Jo Ann Willis, and Eunice Suttles.
My prayers are with your family. May God comfort you with your warm memories of Teresa.
Even though it has been over a year since Teresa left I would like to offer my sincere sympathies. I only heard of her passing just today as I have not been in Asheville for a while. I am deeply saddened. I have wonderful memories of growing up with Teresa and all of the sleep overs we had together. We had a lot of fun over the years at West Buncombe and Erwin. And she was a great friend to me. Blessings and peace to all of her family. I love all of you and pray you are doing well.
Love,
Debbie
