Arden ~ Beatrice Graham Norton, 70, of 502 Long Shoals Road, Arden died on Thursday, March 23, 2006 in a local nursing center. She was born in Graham County and was the daughter of the late Charles Goldman and Delia Hyde Graham. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Becky Reese and a step-son, Ronald Norton. She was a member of Skyland Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dennis Norton of Arden; a daughter, Karen Duncan and husband Ray of Horse Shoe; four grandchildren, Kayla Lowe, Graham Duncan, Gary and his wife Leana Norton and Angie Norton; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Taylor and Gracie Norton; seven sisters, Frances Autrey of Myrtle Beach, SC, Frankie Crisp of Robbinsville, Clairene Brown of Arden, Christine Griffin of Roxboro, NC, Brenda Blythe of Perry, GA, Jean Dean of Charlotte and Ruby Pittman of Taylors, SC; a brother, Bill Graham Albuquerque, NM. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Skyland Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Brindley officiating. Burial will follow in Roberts Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O.
