Mary Blanche Moore Webb, 88, formerly of 80 Merion Drive, Asheville, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Memorial Mission Hospital.
Mrs. Webb was born in Buncombe County and was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip David and
Josephine Morgan Moore; a grandson, Gary Steven Parham, sisters, Norma Sluder, Rachel Smith and Bernice Bridges, a brother, Jesse Moore, and four sons, Clifford Dale Webb, Cecil Harold Webb, William Ralph Webb, and Neil Wilson Webb.
She was an accomplished seamstress and worked at Ivey’s Department Store for 20 years as a seamstress and drapery maker. She was also an avid gardener, great cook, wonderful homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Jean Harris of Dallas, TX, Joan McCurry, Lynn Collins and her husband, Larry, and Sally Morris and her husband, Gary, all of Asheville, and Sharon Carter of Candler; one son, Danny Webb of Georgia; one sister, Opal Lauver of Asheville; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff McCurry officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church, 195 Dix Creek Road #2, Leicester, NC 28748.

Dear Webb Family , Blanche was one of my all time favorite women…she was so strong and such a wonderful mother…..I met Blanche when I was 14 yrs old and we became fast friends…even with a 25 yr age difference….Im so sorry I couldnt be at her funeral, but my health just wouldnt permit it….she was truly an amazing woman….I always loved her and all her children…may God bless all of you.

I was so sorry to hear about you Mother,I did not know until to day or I would have been there for you. You will always be my Best friend and your Mother will rest in peace now. Never for get the good memories and she is enjoying her sons at this time and will be waiting on us all when we make that journey. I love you girl.
