Sarah Womack Lush

Sarah Angeline Womack Lush, 73, formerly of Leicester, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2006. She had been a resident at John Keever Solace Center and Flesher Family Home in Asheville. A native of Chesterfield County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Laura Baker Womack and was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Burton. Sarah was a generous and loving mother and grandmother who worked hard to care for her family. Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Steck of Chester, VA and Jewel Albaugh of Asheville; three sons, Cliff Bartle of Washington, NC, Gill Bartle of Powhatan, VA and Boe Freeland of Cumberland, VA; a nephew, Wayne Burton, Jr. of Richmond, VA; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at JT Morriss Funeral Home, Chester, VA. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Chester. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at JT Morriss Funeral Home in Chester. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family locally.
