Virginia was a friend to me. We shared in-Christ sisterhood, common faith, were co-workers at Kyocera. We were priviledged to share an adventureous cruise together. She will always have an active resting place in the memories we made together.
Hello Betty, Barbara, Brenda, and all the family,
First my heart hurts for all of you with the passing of Virginia. I just want to let you know how much I had grown to really like Virginia. Through the years I have had occasions to see her but when we went on the cruise several years ago, I really enjoyed talking and visiting with her and getting to know her in a more personal way…beyond being the mother of you all. So each time I had occasion to be with her after the cruise, I felt I had gained a ‘friend’ not just my ‘friends’ Mom.’
Another very memorable occasion I spent with Virginia was the day of her wedding to Preacher Shope. We really enjoyed talking and laughing when I styled her hair and applied her makeup for the wedding. When I had finished her makeup and hair, we went into the dining room for her to look and she actually had a tear or two. At first I was afraid she was disappointed, but she soon let me know she loved it. Then she went up and put her wedding dress on and when she walked down the stairs, she truly looked like Cinderella. That was a special day and I will always remember how much I enjoyed being part of it.
Thank you all for being such dear friends and I look forward to making more happy memories with all of you.
Much love,
Blanche
