Stephen William Goforth

Stephen William Goforth, 58, of Ft. Pierce, FL, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at his home. An Asheville native, Mr. Goforth was son of the late Henry Clay and Lucille Laughter Goforth. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Ann Baker. Mr. Goforth was a retired IBM executive. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy as a computer specialist. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Cimato Goforth; his son, Richard William Goforth; three sisters, Mary Lou Schwartz, of Asheville, Rebecca Candler, of Candler, and Sarah Weeks, of Greenville, SC; and one brother, Michael Goforth, of Asheville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Snelson Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Carpenter officiating.
