Barbara, Holly, Laura, I send my dearest love and deepest sympathy. I loved Bob and will miss him. Will write to you later this week. John Donne’s Holy Sonnet X comforts me and I hope will help you, too.
Holy Sonnet X
Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those, whom thou think’st thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy picture[s] be,
Much pleasure, then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul’s delivery.
Thou’rt slave to Fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy, or charms can make us sleep as well,
And better than thy stroke; why swell’st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And Death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.
Aunt Barbara, Holly, and Laura, I am so sorry for your loss. I will treasure the memories of our families, always. My love and prayers go out to you all.
Praying for you and your family.
Barbara and family, We are blessed to have met and known Bob. Our prayers and love go out to you in this sad time.

Laura,
Tina and I are very sorry for your and your family’s loss. We are keeping you in our prayers. Our church is praying for all of you. I wish that I had words that could make some of the pain more bearable but words like that simply do not exsist. I know the hurt you and your family is feeling right now is a life altering pain, but remember that God is right there with you all sharing in this very real pain. I know when my mother passed away heaven became a little more real and alot more sweater to me than ever before. With this in mind, remember that the loss of your father down here is heaven’s gain over there, and someday there will be a reunion day like we have never imagined.
Love,
Greg & Tina

Dearest Barbara and Family:
I just returned to Key Colony. How shocked and saddened I was to learn of Bob’s death.
I remember his joy of your trips and ‘adventures’ in your great RV and common chats as he sat on the front porch, watching those amazing tomatoes take off and grow like crazy.
How thankful we are for the hope of the resurrection and to know that Bob is asleep awaiting Christ’s return. (John 11:11; 1Th 4:13; 1Co 15:22,23)
May you remain strong with the hope and comfort of God’s word and the love of family and friends. We look forward to being with you when you return. 2Co 1:3,4.
Please let me know if I can do anything for you here now or in the future.
Much Christian Love,
Barbara Clinton
