Thomas Franklin Savage, Sr.

Thomas Franklin Savage, Sr., 82, died Friday, September 21, 2007, at Emerald Ridge Health Care Center. Mr. Savage was born in Lynchburg, VA and was a former resident of Morehead City. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and was a retired builder. He was a member of Bough Baptist Church in Atlantic Beach. Surviving are his wife, Mae Payne Savage; a daughter, Suzanne Savage of Greensboro; two sons, T. Frank Savage, Jr., of Candler and Steve Savage of Chapel Hill; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Claude Surrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery. The family will be at the home of his son, Frank Savage, 23 Sunup Lane, Candler.
