Robert Harold Sams, Sr. 81 of Candler, died Friday, November 9, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Sams was born in Buncombe Co. and was a son of the late Liston and Lonnie Rhymer Sams. He was a retired electrician, and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 238. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII.
Mr. Sams is survived by his wife, Betty Ford Sams.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Pisgah View Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park #1, Asheville, NC 28801, or to one�s favorite charity.

Anne I never had the honor of meeting your dad. However, I know he was a great man .I know you loved him dearly.He is in a much greater place than us.No more pain or suffering .
