  1. Dear Helen,
    You have our sympathy in the loss of Preston. I have some wonderful memories of you and Preston traveling on many trips with us.
    I count it a privilege to have met you and him. The most rewarding thing that Udean and I have had over the years is to be able to say THAT WE HAVE MET MANY WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND ARE REALLY BLESSED BY YOUR FRIENSHIP. He will be truly missed.

  2. Preston will be dearly missed. He was a kind hearted man filled with stories and memories of his time in the Army. Our thoughts are with the entire family, and we know God will hold your hands through this.

  3. Preston was a man to be admired and remembered as kind and gracious to everyone. He was an exapmle of a Godly man, he was one of a kind. I am fortunate to have known him and that he and Helen were part of my childrens lives. My sympathy to Helen and family. May God comfort you and may you always remember that Preston’s life is one that should be celebrated.

  4. Preston was one of the sweetest and most sincere men I have ever met. His heart was genuine and his faith strong. I am fortunate to have known him and that he and Helen were part of my childrens lives. We will be dearly missed. My sympathy to Helen and family.

  5. I worked with Joann and was very sorry to hear of Mr. Masseys’ death. Your family will be in my prayers. Cindy

  6. Dear Aunt Helen and Darlene,
    The Heavenly Choir sang, ‘Welcome Home Thy Good and Faithful Servant’ yesterday as Uncle Preston took his heavenly flight. The Harry Dycus children will have forever, wonderful memories of this fine Christian man and who supported our dear Daddy during his ministry at Richland Baptist Church. My love and prayers are with you during your loss. Sonny

  7. Helen, we are so sorry to hear about Preston’s passing, but we know that he is now forever with the Lord. I couldn’t help but wonder if he and daddy(Harry Dycus) are having a conversation. We are praying for you and the family during this sad time. You and Preston were special people to the Dycus family. Keep looking up!!

  8. Preston will be remembered fondly by our family. He shared the joy of his work as a skilled craftsman and the joy of his church and the Lord Jesus Christ. He lived each day as a ‘willing worker’ for Christ, giving love and support to all who knew him. His smile will forever remain as a light in our hearts.

  9. Miss Helen and Miss Darlene, Mama and Daddy were remembering today, the fun times they had with Preston on the back of the bus on the youth choir trips when they were teenagers. I remember a kind man who always had a smile. You will be in our prayers.

  10. Dear Massey and Honeycutt families;
    I am so sorry to learn of Preston’s passing. I remember Preston fondly as being such a kind and caring person. Preston would always pray before all of the Woodfin Fire Department functions and meals. He lived in such a Christian way; devoted to caring for others and serving. He was a true Christian testimony to me. I know he is missed now, but rejoice with you in knowing that we will see him again in Heaven. We will be praying that Jesus comforts you all throughout this time.
    Sincerely,
    Robert Rhodes and Family
