Bruce Lynn Gantt, 65, of 410 Riverview Church Road, Asheville, died Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals.
Mr. Gantt was a native of Buncombe County and was a son of the late Oscar and Iona Banks Gantt. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ellis Ray Gantt. He was an Army veteran and was retired from Burlington Industries.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Davis Gantt; one son, Chad Gantt of Asheville; two sisters, Marie Hyatt of Arden and Peggy Carver of Leicester; and one brother, Ralph Gantt of Shelby.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Pittman officiating. Burial will be at Elk Mountain Cemetery.
His family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
