Clyde Dwayne Stephens, 71, of 177 Penny Drive, Statesville, formerly of Brevard, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at the VA Medical Center in Asheville.
A native of Dickens, TX, he was a son of the late Thomas and Lora Gipson Stephens. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Stephens is survived by two daughters, Constance Jones and her husband Bobby of Ft. Cobb, OK and Rebecca Richardson and her husband Jon of Brevard; two sons, Richard Stephens and his wife Patty of Seveirville, TN and Ron Stephens and his wife Christa of Wingate, NC; a sister, Mary Newton of Lubbock, TX; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
