Jane M. Souther

JANE MARIE SOUTHER SKYLAND ~ Jane M. Souther, 77, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 in an Asheville hospital. A native of Henderson County, she was daughter of the late Rev. William Joseph and Edna Laughter Souther. She was preceded in death by her sister, Adelaide Conner. Miss Souther worked as a supervisor for American Enka Corporation and retired from Ball Brothers Manufacturing. Jane is survived by a sister, Nellie Presley of Arden; a brother, James Souther of Hendersonville, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Hoopers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of a sister, Nellie Presley 134 Christ School Road, Arden. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is charge of the arrangements.
