Guestbook

  1. Having known Matt and his family, and worked with him and Helen for a number of years, we share in the family’s loss and grief. Matt was a wonderful, caring man who held his family above all else in this world, putting the Lord first.
May the Lord of all things lift up the surviving family. God bless.

  2. My Pepaw was the best man ever known, the most loving, and his love was unconditional. I will greatly miss this one of a kind no one can hold a light to him.

  3. Pepaw you will be greatly missed by me and your greatgrandchildren but will always be in our hearts. I will always remember our great times.

  4. My Pepaw was the best man ever known, the most loving, and his love was unconditional. I will greatly miss this one of a kind no one can hold a light to him.

  5. Our prayers go to your family. I have known Matt for at least 35 years. He was always a blessing to me on a daily basis when we worked together at BRB. He always had a heartfelt smile and hello for everyone. No matter how he felt he still showed his care and concern for everyone else. He has been a real father figure for me. I love he and Helen and all they did for me over the years.

He was a real man of integrity.
    He will be missed.

    Sheldon and Peggy Lance

  6. Dear Helen,Sondra,Debbie,Randy and Barry
Your Dad was always a great provider, working long hard hours for his loved ones.
My fondest memories of him were the Sunday afternoons he drove out to Grandma Raper’s house. While Uncle Jack pitched Uncle Matt worked on our batting techniquesin the cow pasture. He was always teasing my mom and all the Wynes’ children. We enjoyed the male companionship and we often were a bit envious of you all having such a wonderful Dad.
Love and prayers for your comfort during this time.
    Judy Wynes Watson

  7. I remember Matt. I was 18. It was at WISE and it was my first job in radio. I enjoyed him so much then it was a special blessing to cross paths at WMIT about the time he retired. Still remember him having two boys at the transmitter on a hot summer night. I still remember his signature on the log, like a long row of mountains–M.C.Munn. I’m still in radio, probably partly because of Matt. May the Lord bless you all even in this time of loss.

  8. Aunt Helen and Children, you will
never know how dear and precious
Uncle Matt was to me. He was more like a Dad than an Uncle, as a matter of fact, I called him ‘Little hot Rodder Dad’.
His was such a wonderful man…God
should have made more like him.
He surely got him an angel when he took him home with him. My love and prayers go out to each and everyone of you…Jewel (Deane)

  9. Helen and all the family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Matt was without question the most humble man I have ever known. I looked up to him so much, and cherish my memories of our time together at WFGW.

I know Matt is happy and feeling fine right now. Just think: he is now the only member of ‘The Tonesdeafsmen’ who can actually sing!

Helen, Melissa and I love you very much. Sorry we cannot be there today, but we are thinking of and praying for you. God bless. Hope to see you soon.

John, Melissa, Joseph, and Amanda Baker

  11. Mamaw,
I am sorry that Cameron and I due to financial circumstances couldn’t be there for you! I am EVER so greatful that Papaw had the opportunity to meet Cameron so that when he reunites with my dad he can tell him all about it!! Remember the good times and always know that everything happens for a reason and he is in a place without pain and suffering, a place where it is my goal to be at one day! Love you so much! And to the rest of the family, I love you all too, I said a special prayer for all of us!
