Asheville – Charles Holloway Hazelrigg, 88, of Stockwood Road, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
A native of Exeter, California, he was the son of the late Overton Dillard Dave Hazelrigg and Winnie Mae Nichols Hazelrigg and husband of the late Imogene Hampton Hazelrigg, who died in 1995.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the US Army and was a self employed residential contractor.
Mr. Hazelrigg is survived by a son, Howard D. Hazelrigg, and his wife Rebecca, of Asheville; two sisters, Doris Hurt of Visilia, Calif. and Louise Powell of Kingsburg, Calif.; two granddaughters, Megan Hazelrigg of Asheville and Heather Loveless and her husband Dr. Scott Loveless and a great granddaughter, Anne Loveless all of Charlotte.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory conducted by the Rev. George Davis.
I enjoyed my association with Chuck in the Valley Springs Lions Club. I will miss him.
