Fairview – James O. Reed, 66, of Brush Creek Road, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at his residence. Born in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Zeb O. and Ollie Haynes Reed and had lived in Fairview most of his life. He retired from ABF Truck Lines after 30 years of service. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Sexton Reed; son, Tony Reed and his wife, Sherri, of Johnson City, Tenn.; daughter, Stephanie Hall and her husband, Robert, of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren, Emma Reed, Max Reed and Zachary Hall. He also is survived by two sisters, Barbara Styles and her husband, Bud, of Arden, Sandy Bryant and her husband, Robert, of Fairview and brother, Kenny Reed and his wife, Linda, of Fairview. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Donald McIntyre. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
