Louise Roberts Miller

louise miller
Louise Roberts Miller, of Asheville, died Tuesday at the Rickman Nursing Center. She was a lifelong resident of Buncombe Co., and lived in the Oakley community for most of her life. She worked for a number of years at Sayles Biltmore Bleacheries where she was office manager. Until a few years ago, Mrs. Miller served as a choir member and Sunday school teacher, first at Reed Memorial Baptist Church and later at First Baptist Church, of Asheville. She was the widow of the late Ernest Vance Miller and is survived by a son, Dean Miller, of University Park, Maryland; a sister-in-law, Rae Roberts of Asheville; and several nieces and nephews. Following private funeral arrangements, a public memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Eddie Morgan officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Baptist Retirement Homes Foundation, 1199 Hayes Forest Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
