Christine Eugenides

Christine J. Eugendies, 86, of Candler, died on Monday, April 27, 2009, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. An Asheville native, Mrs. Eugenides was a daughter of the late Major and Pearl Cook Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Eugenides, who died in 1979; sisters, Thelma and Lois Godfrey; and brother, Roscoe Jackson. Mrs. Eugenides was a member of Foster Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived her sons, Randy Turbyfill and wife Sandi, and Philip Turbyfill and wife Cathey, all of Candler; sisters, Ruth Brooks, Jenny Lawing, and Juanita Miller, all of Candler, and Frances Boone, of Kannapolis, NC; brother, Ben Jackson, of Denver, CO; and grandsons, Brian and Ethan Turbyfill. A graveside service for Mrs. Eugenides will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Shepherd Memorial Park, Hendersonville, with the Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity, or to a church of your choice.
