Fletcher ~ Burdell Gibson Williams, 85 of Glen Bridge Road, died on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Universal Healthcare Center. She was born in Swain County and was the daughter of the late Walter Gibson and Hettie Roland Gibson and was the wife of the late Paul Williams, who died in 2002. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Moore of Arden, Judy Westmoreland and her husband Carl, of Alexander; son, Leonard Williams and his wife Sharon, of Waxhaw; five grandchildren, Scott Westmoreland and his wife Jennifer, of Asheville; John Clay Moore and his wife Carla of Arden, Carla Hannah and husband Rodney of Waynesville, Patrick Williams and wife Nicole of Brevard, Alexandria Williams of At-lanta, GA; four great-grandchildren, Avery Ruckle, Jacob Clay Moore, Piper and Paris Westmoreland; five sisters, Pauline Nelson, Mary Alice Nelson and Loretta Lanier of Whitmire, SC, Macy and Betty Berzsenyi of Michigan and one brother, Edward Gibson of Whitmire, SC. A funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with the Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O.
