ELAINE G. McCARTHY
Elaine Gillespie McCarthy, 56, of Leicester, went to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday, June 13, 2009.
Elaine was a precious angel here on earth to those surviving: sisters, Libby Terry of Asheville and Georgia Lord of Candler; brother, Daniel Gillespie; two half brothers; brother-in-law, James Lord, Jr. of Candler; grandchildren, Dakota Bowlin of Leicester, Taylor Bowlin of Emma, Autumn Bowlin of Leicester; nephews, Kenny Keener and wife, Jamie, of Asheville, Jimmy Lord III of Candler; niece, Tammy Cox Elkins and husband, John, of Weaverville; as well as other special friends.
She was preceded in death by one year by her son, Jeffrey James Bowlin, the "light" of her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ABCCM, 30 Cumberland Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801, in appreciation of equipment loaned so Elaine could go home for a while.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Elaine will truely be missed. I know she is smiling in heaven with Jeff, the LIGHT OF HER LIFE. May God Bless each and everyone of you thru this time.

My prayers go out to each and everyone of you. Elaine was a special person. Heaven has gained an angel, and she is with Jeff and smiling down on everyone she loved. Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time in your lives.
I went to school with Elaine probably for twelve years, and although I did not see much of her over the years I still have fond memories of our time together. My prayers are with all of her family through this hard time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Elaine was the one sister I never had the pleasure to meet. Although I felt as if I knew her because of all the nice things said about her.If there is anything I can do to help, I will.Take care and know that God is watching over all of you.
May God be with Elaine’s entire family, she will be truely missed and was much loved by everyone! Elaine was truely special, being one of those people who was always there with a smile and a kind word. I know that her and Jeff will be walking the streets of glory together, watching kody grow to a man from above, but they will forever be in our hearts!
I am so sorry for your loss. Elaine will be missed by everyone that knew her. She had such a sweet soul and loved her family and friends with all of her heart. I know she is in a better place and so happy! She will always have a special place in my heart.
We are so shocked about this loss. We wish we had had the chance to get closer to Elaine. Daniel has fond memories of his Aunt when he was young. I would have loved to have the chance to know her. We would love to be able to show our respects, along with her niece Elaine, whom was named after her.
Elaine will always have a special place in my heart she was just a fun loving caring person who loved to live life. I only wish I could have spent more time being with her but the memories I have will be cherished for the rest of my life. Elaine, We miss you so much! No one will ever know the love and that special bond we had together. Elaine,yesterday was Mothers Day. I thought about you and Lib all day! My heart is so heavey with griegf still yet! I know it has been some time, but I just could not bring myself to do this earlier. I miss you so much and think about you almost daily. When I think about your life here on earth, I rejoice that you are with our Savior, but my human flesh misses you so much. In a way I’m thankful you’re not here to see all the trials and tribulations our family, country, and nation has and is still going through. It would only make you sad! I now know God took Jeff home first because he would not have been able to bear seeing you so sick. I love you and will always cherish our times together. You were always my favorite aunt; guess I can get away with saying that now! I Love and Miss you!
