Services for Mary Rhymer Trantham, 98, formerly of 4 Salola Street, Asheville will be 11 am Tuesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue conducted by Pastor Greg Taylor. Interment will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. Trantham was the daughter of the late Lon and Ada Allison Rhymer and wife of the late Ellsworth L. Trantham, Sr., who died in 1972. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert G. Trantham in 1965.
She is survived by a son, E. Louis Trantham, Jr., and his wife Betty Jo, of Asheville; daughter-in-law, Alice Trantham; brother, Frank Rhymer; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren
The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the service on Tuesday.
