Dr. David Brooks Arnold, 74, of Fairview, died Thursday, December 9, 2009, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Swannanoa Valley Friends Meeting in Black Mountain, NC.

  4. It has been quite a few years since I last spoke to David so his passing has come as a shock. Well David you are now in a better world and advocating for the causes that you were so good at defending. You were instrumental in my career at the UN and I will always be grateful for that. Michael you have my sincere condolences as well as the family.

  5. Coming on 10 years since I lost my father too soon. He’d be so proud of his grandchildren: his grandson the lawyer in Washington DC, married now to an amazing, intelligent woman, also a lawyer, from Princeton; his granddaughter running her own business, also married. And look, Dad. You’re a great-grandparent now! Two little boys as bright and full of possibilities as you were.
