Fleecie 'Maw' Rash

Mrs. Rash was born in Buncombe County and was a  daughter of the late Boone and Eliza Hawkins.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Morgan and C.A. Rash, and by a son J.W. Morgan and a grandson, Derrick Morgan.  She was an active member of the Corinth Baptist Church and enjoyed activities with the Dix Creek and Leicester Community Centers.

She is survived by four daughters, Shirley Gardner, Virginia Deas, Martha Liner, and Mary Roberts;  two sons, Bruce Morgan and Max L. (Carrie) Morgan;  a sister, Bronnie H. Ray;   fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-0grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 10, 1998, in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Charles Surrett and Darrell Branim officiating.  Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 16, Asheville, NC 28802, or to the Corinth Cemetery Fund, 190 Dix Creek #2, Leicester, NC 28748.
