ASHEVILLE – William Alexander Fox, 73, of River Ridge Apartments, formerly of Swannanoa, died Monday, February 8, 2010. Mr. Fox was born in Buncombe County and attended Woodfin School. He was an Army veteran and was a former route salesman for Biltmore Dairies. He is survived by his wife, Paulette Griffin Fox; one daughter, Tammy McCurry of Oakley, and two grandchildren, Courtney and Zachary. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

  2. I send my condolences for your loss. Bill was my mother’s dear cousin. I have fond memories of him for himself and that he was the spitting image of my grandfather. I spent a lot of time at his mother’s house. He will be missed because he isn’t in this world any more.

Bill was the kind of man everyone felt at home with immediatly and altho we didn’t see as much of you all as we would like we are going to miss knowing he is there.
