Fletcher ~ E. Odell Lewis, 89, of Fletcher passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Universal Health Care. He was a native of Henderson County and was the son of the late Carl Edward Lewis and Hester Maxwell Lewis. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Mr. Lewis was a US Army veteran serving during WW II. He worked most of his life as a brick mason and was a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church. Most of all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and respected mentor. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and his gift of humor. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Marie Turner Lewis of Fletcher; a daughter, Ruby McClung and husband Will of Hendersonville; a son, Mike Lewis and wife Sandra of Colleyville, TX; three grandchildren, Angie and Kristi McClung of Fletcher and John Baker and wife Heather of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Juanita Lusk of Fletcher. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Monday at Fletcher First Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Waldroup and Rev. Howard Cabe officiating. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 � 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Fletcher First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Fletcher First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 1658, Fletcher, NC 28732.

  13. Marie,It gave me so much strength to have brother Odell and mom there together, and hear the wise things they had to say before they went home to be with their Lord a couple of days apart.
