Ray Kenneth Raines
Brevard – Ray Kenneth Raines, 57, of Little Bend Road died in Transylvania County.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Jewel Franks Raines. He was a painter with Frank’s Paint Service.
Surviving is a son, Kenneth Shawn Gay of Florida; three sisters, Clara Lawrence and Marylou Camby both of Asheville, Joann Lunsford of Barnardsville; five brothers, Gene Franks of Candler, Jimmy Raines of Fletcher, Marvin Raines of Arden, Johnny Raines of Hendersonville and Danny Raines of Oteen.
Services for Kenneth will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Ray Wynes officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
