Dear Baptist,
The peace and serenity that you carried with you will always be remembered by those who were close to you.
You will be missed, my friend.
So sad to hear you have passed away Steven. You were always one of my favorite tenants. I hope you are at peace. I’m just so shocked. Will see you on the other side. You will be sadly missed.
To the family of our dear Baptist,
The rememberance of the spiritual world that Baptist brought to who he was and all he did was a gift to all who knew him. His total excitement and amusement about the the smallest flower was a gift to all who knew him.
His enthusiasm and child like excitement when he got his first car was a gift to all who knew him.
His philosophical musings were a gift to all who knew him.
And the little flower behind his ear….
He was truly a gift to all who knew him.
Blessings to all……
Steven was such a blessing in my spiritual journey. I will always remember his kind demeanor, his little giggle, and his hat with the flower in it. I will surely miss him. Nancy E.R.

I met Baptist thru NAMI and it was obviously that he was a gentle kind soul. My condolences to everyone who was blessed to know and love him.
This dear man was living proof that being one-of-a-kind could fit beautifully with being solidly in a loving, caring community… and that, whatever struggles we each face, we can nonetheless be there for each other, to walk together through hardships which we could never face alone.
Thank you, dear teacher 🙂
I helped take care of Steven at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek. Steven was very special to all the staff. His smile would brighten your day no matter how you felt when you came in. I nicknamed him ‘SMILEY’ and I will always remember his precious smile. He has a new body and in the arms of our saviour. Watching through the holes in the floor of heaven. To the family, you have suffered a great loss, but heaven gained a great spirit.
In Him, Kim Jones, CNA
NAMI WC remembers Steven as a warm and generous soul. We will cherish the time that we spent together and miss his gentle smile.
