  10. Eddie and Jason and Travis,
I am so so sorry to hear of your Dad’s death. I am 3 weeks older than him and we have known one another since birth as we went to church as babies and graduated together. Don’t know if all of you remember all the hot dogs and macaroni and mashed potatos you ate at our house with Wayne and Jason and Shannon. God is with you and the rest of your family. God bless your Dad and God bless all of your family and help you realize that your Dad is still with you in love and spirit.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sorry for your loss.We enjoyed working with Eddie out at the Times-News back in the 80’s.
    God Bless!

  12. I have very fond memories working with Eddie. I worked with Eddie when the paper was still downtown before we moved to Sardis. I would take him a bottle of his favorite drink of the day. Always made the night go better. Very Very sorry for your loss.

  13. Linda, I know this has been a long hard battle for Eddie and you. I might not be able to make it to the visitation, but I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and have you in my prayers. Again I am so sorry for your loss. Donna Oakes

  14. Linda,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Life brings us together in so many ways, sometimes something as simple as eggs. Eddie and you were ‘My Eggman’ and my friends — a fond memory to be treasured.

  15. Linda,Mother and Dale,
We want you all to know how sorry we are for your loss. Eddie was/is a wonderful man. Linda, you have surely paved your way into Heaven. I know no one could have taken better care or loved Eddie more than you did. Always know that. We love you and we’re here if you need ANYTHING.

  16. Jason, Missy, Tyler & Aaron,
These next days and weeks are going to be probably the hardest you have ever had. I wish I could take away all your pain but that is a part of the healing. You are all strong and I know you will be ok. You all helped (Papaw) in everyway and with everything you could, and doing that took so much stress and worry off him. None of you should ever wonder if you did enough, because YOU DID. I know Eddie was proud of you all. Keep his memory alive by always trying to continue to make him proud. He is at peace now resting in the arms of the Angels.
We love you all. We are here.
    Nana & Popa

  17. Leneice, Lil Eddie, Travis & Boys,
We are so sorry for your loss but so happy for Eddie’s gain. He’s telling chicken stories around God’s campfire. Eddie was a good friend. He was a wonderful Papaw to my Grandsons. As bad as he felt he came to Aaron’s birthday party in June. He will be forever missed. We grive for ourselves for or loss but not for Eddie because he is free. Please call if any of you need anything. We love you all.

  18. Dear Eddie,
Long after the Roses fade ‘WE WILL REMEMBER YOU’. We’ll miss you my friend.

  19. I am so sorry for your loss but relieved that Eddie has no more pain. He left us with fond memories and appreciation for the life he led and the pleasure of knowing him. We miss him and will always remember. Please call on me if you need anything.

  20. Brother you fought a long battle. our early years wasn’t much, but as we grew older we saw a little more eye to eye. i’m proud of the man you were, and the dignity you showed throughout your sickness. You had a wonderful wife to care for you with your sickness and i promise you that i will do everything in my power to see that she is taken care of. i love you BRO! you should be proud of the man you were, and the way things were handled after you went home to be with GOD and family. you have friends that you never knew existed. the Pastors were your friends, and family which made it such a touching ceremony.
