Hubert Buckner

ARDEN ~ Hubert Buckner, 70, of Ball Gap Road, died Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at his residence. Mr. Buckner was a life long resident of Buncombe County, and son of the late Lonnie A. and Gertie McGalion Buckner. He was retired from Pressley Heating. He was a Army veteran of Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Keith Buckner; one daughter, Amelia Smirness of Arden; two sons, David Hubert Buckner of Walhalla, SC and Christopher Glenn Buckner of Seneca, SC; one brother, Walter Buckner of Skyland; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild and three step grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, at the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
