David Leon McKinney, 83, of Jacksonville, FL, died Saturday, February 12, 2000, in a Florida hospital.

A native of Buncombe County he was a son of the late Clarence Newton and Blanche Penland McKinney. He worked as a service manager at Langley Oldsmobile Dealership in Jacksonville, retired from the US Army reserves and was a former member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kate Evans McKinney; a daughter, Gayle M. Gray of Brunswick, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Norman A Hubbard officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 am Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
