Elizabeth Ann Shipman, 42, of Mills River, died Sunday, October 17, 2010. Ms. Shipman was born November 16, 1967, and was the daughter of Rose Ann and Herman W. Wright, Jr. She enjoyed music and crafts, especially crocheting. She loved everybody and her dogs Dale and Snoopy. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is survived by a brother, Herman Daniel Wright and his girlfriend Debbie Robinson; maternal grandmother, Madeline Rickman; special friends, Ron and Judy Rigbsy and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Revs. Allen Rash and Dayton Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, October 22, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any contributions to help assist in funeral expenses. The family will be at the home of James Lingerfelt, 39 Blake Drive, Royal Pines, Arden, NC 28704

    I am so sorry to hear about Elizabeth! My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family! A loss is hard. I lost my Dad in Jan. 2007 and it is still hard but turn to God and he will help you through it! I will always remember her as (Little Lu-Lu)and that big smile and always happy!
