Vera Cobb Langford

Mrs. Vera C. Langford, age 88, formerly of Hawkinsville, GA, died Tuesday Feb. 27, 2001 in Asheville, NC. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, March 2 in the Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, with the Rev. Don McClung officiating. Mrs. Langford was a native of Dodge County and a member of the Hawkinsville first Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher having taught in the Pulaski County School System for 33 years. She was a member of the G.E.A. and was the widow of the late Gene Langford of Hawkinsville. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-laws, Jane L. and Jim Gray of Asheville, Carol L. and George Hawkins of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren and there spouses, Clint and Lillian Hawkins of Lawrenceville, GA, Chris and Shefali Kimel of Knoxville, TN, Stacey and Gray Kitchens of Birmingham, AL; two great grandchildren, Matthew Hawkins and Amanda Hawkins both of Lawrenceville, GA. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Friday in Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville. Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue is assisting the family locally.
