Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Kim and Monelle’s Family, I was happy to see her at New Hope Church the past two Sundays and kid her about going to Sand Hill School and living on Deaverview Rd. We knew a lot of the same people and are about the same age. Regardless of age, health, or any other circumstance we are never ready to lose our loved ones. The only comfort has to come from our Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested concern of caring friends. You are in our thoughts and prayers and we can only hope in some small way it does help to know others do care. Joe and Zunita Clark

  2. Carole, Kim, Karen & Christy,

We were so sad to hear of Nanny’s passing. She was the sweetest little lady & we are so honored to have had the opportunity to spend the holidays with her. Love & hugs to all.

  3. Although we didn’t know her personally, we have come to love her grandchildren and great grands. Kim, Stan, Daniel, Elizabeth, and David mean a lot to us at New Hope Pres. We extend our most heartfelt sympathies to the family for the loss of a very dear mom and grannie. Keep her memories alive with the stories you share about her life and may God grant you strength and peace in the days to come.
    Myron and Angela

  4. Kim, Christi and Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Know this is a terribly difficult time for you and you are all in my thoughts and prayers…

  5. Kim, Christi, David, Stan and family:
We are sorry for your loss. I am so glad Monelle was able to attend David’s installation and faith journey recently.

  6. I am thinking of all of you and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. You were all so good to your nanny. She was lucky to have such a loving and devoted family

  7. Monelle was my favorite Meals On Wheels client. I always looked forward to her smile and wonderful sense of humor. I will miss her VERY much every Tuesday when I pass her house on my Meals on Wheels deliveries. She certainly was a ray of sunshine to me and everyone else who delivered meals to her.

  8. Karen, Amelia, and Family, We were so sad to learn of Nanny’s passing; but feel blessed to have known her through knowing all of you. We are certain we will continue to enjoy lovely family stories for years to come. With Love, Mary and Lucy

  9. Dear Carole and all Monelle’s loving family,

It won’t be the same delivering Meals on Wheels on Wednesdays without looking forward to visiting with Monelle and sharing funny stories. She was the high spot of our route and her great personality and sweet smiles will be dearly missed. I feel as though I know most of you for she really loved to brag on her wonderful family and shared many photos of you. It hurt to see the changes that were beginning due to her health issues, but she never lost that welcoming smile. Each of you can feel good knowing you loved and cared for her in a special way and I can certainly testify to her often expressed pride in her family. It was truly an honor to have known her and to have her call me ‘friend’.

    With love and sympathy
    Nancy Taylor

  10. Mrs. Lawing was a friend of my mom, Lorene Cook. They shared time together in Ruby’s beauty shop years ago, they being the generation of Friday ‘hair do’s’. Mom worried about Monell after her husband died and always spoke highly of her. Mom has been in heaven going on 5 years and I like to think they are enjoying time together again. My deepest sympathy to the family.

  11. Carol,Kim,Christy,Karen & family,
Monelle will truly be missed by all her family & friends. She always shared her humor and great personality with all. As to the friday ladies Mother spent time with in hair salon, they all had a great time visting with each other and was great lasting friendships they all shared. The friday hair do’s were important but i think they all enjoyed those fridays together wth lots of laughs most of all. Loreen’s daughter Karen reflected the great ties as well for the friday ladies! From the time i was a little girl Monelle always called me ‘Twiggy’! You all have lots of great memories to share of Monelle’s great humor! We are remembering each of you during this difficult time. But just remember Monelle is still smiling from heaven.
    Sincerely,
    Jean,Charles,Bo&Ruby

  12. Dear Family, we were so sorry to hear of Monelle’s passing. I enjoyed our telephone conversations. She was always so up-beat and loving. I will miss her. Love to all of you. Pattie
