Asheville ~ Lisa Marie Droz, 37, of Spring Circle, Asheville passed away on January 31, 2011 in Mission Hospitals, St. Joseph Campus.
She was born in Litchfield, Minnesota and was the daughter of Rosa Janell Bedsole Droz of Kings Mountain, NC and the late John Edward Droz. She worked as a RN in the OR at Mission Hospitals. She enjoyed long walks on the beach, dancing, Ice Skating and playing the flute.
She was a loving daughter and mother and enjoyed life.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving companion, Ed Davila; two daughters, Michaela Carter and Sofia Rivera; a son, John Rivera and their fathers, James Carter and Diego Rivera all of Asheville; uncle, Jerry Bedsole of Kings Mountain, NC; In-Laws, Betty and Calvin Carter and Santa Ortiz all of Asheville and John Rivera of Port St.Lucie, Fla.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home East Asheville on Tunnel Road with Elder Calvin Carter officiating.

Lisa and I were students together at UNCA and had several Biology classes together. She was a delight to be around and could always make us laugh. Your family is in my prayers during this difficult time.

Lisa was one of my dear friends and sorority sisters from UNCA. She was fun and quirky and did things her own way. There was something about her that made her so easy to love. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
