James Everette “J.E.” Wilson, 54, of 20 Minnie Ola Road, Marietta, GA, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, in a Greenville, SC hospital.

Mr. Wilson was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Hurst and Marjorie Banks Wilson. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and was associated with J&R Fence Contracting Co.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Cannon Wilson; two sons, James Brian Wilson of Asheville and Christopher Steven Wilson of Travelers Rest, SC; two sisters, Joyce Ann Smith and Sandra Waddell of Candler; one brother, Eugene Wilson of Candler, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Willett officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
