Glenna Sluder Ambrose Rubino, 82, 32 Bobwhite Hill, Leicester, formerly of Sarasota, FL, died
Thursday, May 31, 2001 in a local nursing facility.
A native of Leicester, she lived in Florida for 40 years before returning to Buncombe County in 1988. She was a daughter of the late Clyde and Fannie Foster Sluder. She was also proceeded in death by her husband Salvatore Rubino who died in 1989.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Edna A. and Reeves Suttles of Leicester; sons and
daughter-in-law, Ciro C. Rubino of Bradenton, FL, Frank A. and Becky Ambrose of Alexander; sister, Mildred S. Culbertson of Leicester; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Wilma Sluder, Rex and Georgia Sluder, Clyde Jr. and Shirley Sluder all of Leicester, Van and Carmen Sluder of Richmond, Michigan, Riley and Iris Sluder of Swannanoa; five
grandchildren, Steve, Paul, Teresa, Frank Jr. and Kristy and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
Reverend Mike Scroggs will officiate. Burial will be private.
Her family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of the daughter, Edna Suttles,
32 Bobwhite Hill, Leicester.
