Asheville Butterfly TrailA native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late A.L. and Eleanor Mallory Presley and was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret James and a brother, Harry Presley.
Mr. Presley was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, an Army veteran and a retired employee of BASF.
He is survived by his wife, Atlas Ray Presley; two daughters, Debra Sharpe of Arden and Pamela Presley Flood of Tallahassee, Fla.; one grandson, Brian Sharpe and four brothers, Charles, John, Paul and Ralph Presley, all of Arden.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday in Calvary Episcopal Church with the Rev. Charles M. Furlow, III officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:30 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road and also the memorial register is available at “Funerals Scheduled” at www.grocefuneralhome.com.
