It has been three years now since the passing of Danny and I still think of you very often. I know God is taking care of you. I have a favor to ask, one of my best friends was killed in a car accident this past week by a drunk driver and I know he is in Heaven with you, his name is David Tuttle. Will you please take care of him for me? I love you Danny.
Danny and I worked together for many years at Mission and he could make me laugh like nobody else. Danny had a way about him that put you at ease and made you feel good. He had a unique way of looking at and describing things around him. Simple things he could turn into great stories. I know Danny suffered much these last few years and I’m glad for him that the suffering is over. But… he will be much missed by all those who knew and loved him and I include myself in that fortunate group.
Danny was my friend. He made a difference in my life and he will always live through me.
Deepest sympathy to all the family from parishoners at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church
Dear family of Danny Blazer,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I worked with Danny when I was a Radiological Technology student. I will always remember him as a wonderful, kind, hilarious and giving person.
I am a dialysis technician at the Asheville Kidney Center where Danny recieved his dialysis treatments. I have only been there 2 months, and had the pleasure of having Danny as a patient only a few times. He was such a nice and caring man who had a smile for everyone and adored his children. I only knew him for a short time, but I will remember his kindness for a lifetime. He is greatly missed by all of us.
My thoughts and many prayers go out to your family.

I will always remember Danny as one of the ‘good guys’. He had that wonderful grin and charm that all his friends and family will miss.
I was a dialysis technician at Asheville Kidney Center for several year (and am still in the Weaverville facility.) Our line of work can be kind of demanding at times and we all cling to ‘bright moments’, things we look forward to. Danny was one of those ‘bright moments.’ He was sweet, kind, intelligent and never said a bad word to anyone regardless of how he badly he was feeling. He was a joy to have as a patient. Last fall my car broke down on 19/23. I was walking up to the Weaverville exit when who should come along but Danny!? He gave me ride to the nearest phone, offered to take me home (I told him I lived on the other side of Murray Mountain but he still offered!) It was typical behavior for him…always the gentleman, always kind. The world is poorer for this loss. My heart goes out to all his family, especially those daughters he loved so much! I am thankful to have known him. You are all in my prayers. Theresa Higgins
