Helen Eplee Scott, 71, of the Vanderbilt Apartments, Asheville, died Saturday, December 22, 2001, at her home. Mrs. Scott was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late James Hill and Mildred Evelyn Boyd Eplee. She was preceded in death by her husband John Franklin Scott, who died in 1978, and by a sister, Mildred Rosena Haney. She was a photographer for the Rembrandt Studios and was a member of Oak Forest Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Crook, and Jimmie Dean Parris, and a brother, Jerry Hill Eplee, all of Candler. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Ken Mullis officiating. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home for Children, 80 Lake Eden Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
