Margarete Honigmann Boelke, 96, formerly of Chicago, died Thursday, December 20, 2001, at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek.
Mrs. Boelke was born in Hettstedt, Germany on September 13, 1905 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Minna Hintsch Honigmann. She immigrated to the US in 1921 and in 1925 married her beloved Charles Boelke, now deceased. She lived in Oak Park, IL until moving to the Asheville area in 1997.
She leaves a loving and caring legacy to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Stoffels and her husband Keith of Fletcher, NC; one son, Carl Boelke and his wife Marian of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Betty Unger and Martha Foster, both of FL; eight grandchildren, David Boelke of Burbank, CA, Gretchen Bartlett of Mundelein, IL, Valerie Sarich of Verdi, NV, Adam Boelke of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jeffrey Stoffels of Portland, OR, Shelly Wilson of Evansville, IN, and Lisa Brill and Wendy Norville of Pontiac, IL, their respective spouses and fourteen great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Thursday, December 27, 2001, at Postlewaite Village Chapel, Chicago, with burial to follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday from noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
